Working on a La Union rooftop over the summer, we used a reverse-dye method to deliberately stain fabric. Then we smocked the piece, enjoying how fabric manipulation altered the dyed designs. We like to think of the experience as an experiment  in subtraction and division. 

These are limited-edition pieces.

This Mita Dress is navy blue, stained with gray stripes.

Made from stonewashed linen.
